DESCRIPTION:\n\nRegister Here\nThe Canadian Mental Health Association – Newfoundland and Labrador (CMHA-NL) has announced “Steering Success: Mental Health Education for Newcomers and Employers.” This program aims to support the successful settlement and integration of newcomers in Newfoundland and Labrador through targeted mental health education and workplace safety initiatives. By addressing key mental health challenges that affect both newcomers and employers, the program will foster resilience, well-being, and psychological safety in workplaces across the province, ensuring that newcomers can retain employment and thrive. This program was made possible through the generous funding from the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills.\nJoin us for a workshop to share your experiences with employment as a newcomer. This session in Grand Falls-Windsor is for newcomers to share their lived experiences, challenges, and to engage in co-creation of mental health education materials. You can help shape better support and solutions for mental health!\n\nDate: Wednesday April 9, 2025\nTime: 10:00AM – 3:00PM. Lunch will be provided.\nLocation: Youth 2000 Center, 34 Bond St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B 1J4\nWe thank you for your interest in the collaborative workshop. After completing the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email in a few days.
